Davis College win North Cork Schools Senior Golf Championship

Davis College Mallow won the North Cork Schools Senior Golf Championship last week after an entertaining day’s golf in Mallow Golf Club.  There were five post primary schools in action, and the event was sponsored by Conway Golf (Mallow Golf Club).

Davis College won the tournament by a total of thirteen shots on a total gross score of +8 from Charleville C.B.S. with Colaiste Mhuire Buttevant finishing third.  The best individual score on the day was a 69 gross by Colaiste Mhuire’s Sean Enright and Charleville CBS’s Jordan Boles won the best nett with a score of 65 nett.  Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal Blarney and Millstreet Community School also took part.

This was the second year of the competition and was organised by Eoghan Long to develop golf in secondary schools.
