McNamara & Dooley qualify for PGA Professional Championship Final

Cian McNamara (Monkstown) and Padraig Dooley (Drive Golf Performance) have both qualified for the Titleist & FootJoy PGA Professional Championship final in England in June.  The Irish Region qualifier took place in Killeen Castle last week with eight places in the PGA Pro’s Championship final on offer.  McNamara shot a level par 72 to tie for the lead with Waterville’s David Higgins.  Dooley was in third spot only one shot behind.  With eight to qualify the Munster trio were safely through to the  UK & Ireland final.  The final in Somerset has a total purse of over €110,000 in addition to places on the PGA Cup team. CGN IOCMN  19th June 2014_43 The final takes place in Burnham & Berrow Golf Club in South West England on June 2-5.  This year’s PGA Cup is being held at CordeValle Golf Club in California.
