The Boys Interprovincials finished up in Athlone today and despite a win for the Under 18’s, overall it was a disappointing few days for the three Munster teams. The Under 14’s finished up yesterday but the 16’s and 18’s were in action today. The Under 18’s faced Connacht in a battle to avoid the wooden spoon and they got off to the perfect start – winning all three foursomes matches this morning. John Murphy and Luke Cummins follow up with wins in the singles to ensure a win for Munster, one that took them off the bottom of the table.
The Under 16’s had another tough outing in their final two matches. This morning they had a narrow 3-2 loss to Ulster and a second loss followed in the afternoon when they were beaten by Connacht.
