Mahon played host to the second last round of the South East League yesterday and there were good wins for East Cork and Cobh. East Cork beat Fermoy 8-4 and Cobh had the same winning margin over Mitchelstown.
East Cork have now completed their four matches and they are in a strong position to qualify for the final. Cobh and Mahon will both need to win all six matches and win 12 points to overtake East Cork. In the event of a draw, a nominated Bruen pairing from each club will play off for a spot in the final.

Wayne O’Callaghan ran a very successful junior camp last week, on the last week of the Easter holidays. The camp ran from Monday to Wednesday and Wayne was delighted with how it went: “We held a very successful Easter junior camp in Fernhill with 20 junior golfers taking part. The aim of the camp was to create a fun learning experience where the juniors learned all aspects of the golf while playing fun challenges making new friendships along the way. Fernhill has a dedicated practice range for the junior academy with various target greens and short game
