South East League Update

Mahon played host to the second last round of the South East League yesterday and there were good wins for East Cork and Cobh.  East Cork beat Fermoy 8-4 and Cobh had the same winning margin over Mitchelstown.

East Cork have now completed their four matches and they are in a strong position to qualify for the final.  Cobh and  Mahon will both need to win all six matches and win 12 points  to overtake East Cork.  In the event of a draw, a nominated Bruen pairing from each club will play off for a spot in the final.

East Cork:30 pts (played 4)
Cobh: 19 pts (played 3)
Mahon: 19pts (played 3)
Fermoy: 14pts (played 3)
Mitchelstown: 14 pts (played 3)

Section A was completed a few weeks ago and West Waterford were clear winners after their three matches.

West Waterford: 23 pts (played 3)
Youghal: 19pts (played 3)
Castlemartyr: 16pts (played 3)
Dingarvan: 14 pts (played 3)

The final will be held in Dungarvan Golf Club.
