Jason Law claims 3rd Munster Title

Fota Island’s Jason Law put two great rounds together in Bandon last week to win the Munster Senior Championship.  Law had a three-shot margin of victory over the field and he was the only player in the field to go under par.  An opening 72 (+1) had him in the lead going into the second round, one shot ahead of Bandon’s Dave McCarthy.

Cleary wins Munster Seniors

Cork’s Tom Cleary captured his second Munster Seniors Amateur Open in Thurles today, although it took a seven hole play-off to separate the top three.  Although he won the title in 2009, Cleary suffered a play-off defeat last year as Arthur Pierce won when the championship was held in Cleary’s home course of Cork GC.  Continue reading →
