PGA Professional Wayne O’Callaghan is giving golfers plenty of options when it comes to preparing for the new season. While many courses are still closed, the range at Fernhill and Wayne’s indoor performance studio are both open for business. Wayne is running an innovative putting clinic next month where a maximum of four students will be taken through their paces on the green. Wayne explained how he’s planning to run the clinics: “First of all the clinic involves putter fitting, checking if the the length and loft of the putter suits a student – using the academy’s quinticballroll software. It will also cover green reading which covers the grain on greens, moisture and how they can affect break and pace. A number of training aids will be used to tighten up the length and stroke path. Finally drills on getting long putts closer to the hole on a regular basis and short putting drills and data on tour pros shared.” Details of the dates and times of all the classes are available from the link below:
It’s allpart of what Wayne called “Make a postiive change for 2016”. He also has two group classes starting next month: “I have 2 morning classes starting on Wednesday 3rd February and Thursday 4th February. There are a couple of places left still available. These sessions are 10 weeks with some sessions on the golf course in Fernhill. All aspects of the game covered including rules and etiquette. The cost of the course is €100 and class times are Wednesday 10.30 am to 12pm and Thursday 10am to 11.30am. I also have a Special offer of 5 Trackman and video analysis sessions with a screencast sent to students personal locker for €160 which normally costs €200. These sessions are 40 minutes each.”
Putting secrets class on February 2th in Fernhill 12pm to 1.30pm cost is €50 per person 4 max per class.
