Murphy & Butler Top 10 at Ulster Boys

Kinsale duo John Murphy and Cathal Butler bounced back into the top ten in the Ulster Boys today.  After a first round of high scores, normality returned on day two as several contenders posted scores under par. Murphy had two birdies and two bogies going out in 36 shots.  He gathered momentum on the way back with four birdies and just one bogey for a three under par total of 73.  Butler was three over par after five holes but added three birdies and an impressive eagle at the par five 18th to sign for a 71.  Kinsale teammates James Bohan, Gary Ward and Mark Healy were in action but missed the 36 hole cut as did Daniel Devlin (Fota Island) and Eoin Aherne (Mallow). Murphy is three shots off the lead held by Conor Purcell (Portmarnock) and he leads the Under 17 category.  The final 36 holes take place in Castlerock tomorrow. Ulster Boys Leaderboard Round 2
