48 Matches Later – 16 Golfers remain, Ford Junior Scratch Trophy

Ford LogoA marathon 48 matches were played in Muskerry today as 64 of the best junior handicap golfers played on the first day of the Ford Junior Scratch Trophy.  Honorary Starter Tim O’Brien had the weather on his side as he started 32 matches this morning, and a further 16 matches this afternoon in the second round.  Last year the competition endured a weather delay as the course was covered in hailstones.  Light rain was about the worst that golfers had to endure and the Cloghroe course was in great condition.  Joe Lane, Joe O’Keeffe and Hugo Gallagher were also busy men as the results came in thick and fast and the morning winners went back out for the afternoon matches.
