Munster won the senior inter-provincial title last week and two debutants were key to Munster’s success. Robin Dawson from Waterford made the successful transition from the boys team to the senior team, while Cork’s John Hickey came in with three wins and a half in his five matches.

Cork’s Niall Turner won his first Asian Tour event yesterday when he won the Linc Group Jakarta Classic in Indonesia. It was his first tour event since May and the Corkman came back with a bang. Denis O’Sullivan made a welcome return to the headlines over the weekend when he finished second in the European Senior Tour event in Switzerland.
